The World Handicap System is launching in November 2020. It is designed to welcome more players, to make golf easier to understand and to give all golfers a handicap which is portable all around the globe. It will replace the six different systems currently used by over 15 million golfers in more than 80 countries. It has been developed by The R&A and The United States Golf Association (USGA), supported by the world’s handicapping authorities, including CONGU, which represents the four home countries of Great Britain and Ireland.

Members can now view their provisional Handicap Index by logging in to:

As a first login, you will be asked to enter your CDH Number (it can be found on your My Golf Section on Perton website).

A code number will then be sent to your email address which you will then enter. Once accepted, you will then have to create your own password and you should then be able to see your stored details, your predicted Handicap Index and details of the rounds used to create this Index.

The winter opening hours for the professional shop will be:

8am - 3pm Weekdays

7pm – 4pm Weekends

Course Information and Green keepers Work

Planning has begun on the design of our new short game facility that will be built this winter on the grass area located in front of the gym. The facility will replace the old one and will be contrasted using artificial grass for all year round use.

With us now being in the middle part of autumn the green keepers are currently hard at work with leaf blowing and collecting this is an important process at this time of year as allowing thick piles of leaves to gather on the course will not only prevent sunlight from reaching the surface, it creates a micro-environment which is warm, dark and damp and conducive to disease occurrence. Diseases like fusarium.

The range is also now operating new opening times:

Weekdays 9am – 9pm (Last Balls 8:30pm)

Weekends 8am – 5pm (Last Balls 4:30pm)
